not a low 60 cycle hum, but a higher pitched buzz. it's there with or without a guitar cable plugged in. None of the front panel controls have any affect except for the reverb pot and presence...the volume of the buzz increases as the controls are raised. new tubes have been swapped in all positions...no change. sockets tightened, effects loop jacks cleaned...no change.
i started pulling tubes one at a time...no change in the buzz until i pulled tube V5...it decreased in volume significantly, but it was still there. no difference in pulling V6, pulling V7 PI eliminated all sound.
i chopsticked all the pins on V5 and V6, and all the components connected to those sockets...no effect.
any ideas on what i should be looking for to eliminate this buzz? thanks for your help!
