Crate BV50-H repairs?

So I was given a Crate BV50H. I was told it worked fine ,but I wanted to take it apart ,and go through it anyway...glad I did. Someone made a few repair attempts. It looks like something fried in there at one time (lots of black residue) ,but I don't see any burn marks. I did find some resistors that were scabbed on. I'll try to get pictures on here to show some of the issues. The schematic calls for 1/4 watt resistors in most places. How much difference would it make if 1/2 watt were used ? The ones in question are R51, R90, and R91. If there is any other components that I may need to replace / upgrade ..suggestions appreciated.

Personally,I like to think "you never know who is going to look at this" when I do a repair. So I give it my best.

I know...lol...I'm not the best by a long shot ,but I can do better than this with my toes, and a blindfold.
