  • A line out after PI in a princeton reverb

Hi, I got a nice rack unit from ADA called "ampulator", it's a poweramp simulation with a real push pull behaviour using a 12ax7 and a cabinet simulation. http://www.adadepot.com/adagear/gear...-Ampulator.htm unit must be fed by a line level signal +20dbv max

I want to add a line out to my princeton reverb AA1164 but I want the reverb and the tremolo so it has to be after the Phase inverter and I want the signal to be cut by the insertion of a jack in this line out.

Maybe a switching stereo jack (there are two signals leaving the PI) can do it but what about the level and the impedence.

I hope I'm clear and thanks for your help

There are a few problems with what you are trying to do. The tremolo on the Princeton Reverb is the type that modulates the output tube bias to get the effect. This occurs after the phase inverter, in the power tube stage. So taking the signal from the PI will not work.

To do what you want, you will probably have to take the signal from the speaker output and use a dummy load to silence the amp. Maybe there is a box out there that does just what you need. Check the Weber or THD load boxes to see what they offer.
