So we can assume he's back online I guess? That means if we keep this thread up on top, he'll eventually see us.

            • Can only hope that his doctor is at least HALF the doctor that Enzo is a technician!

And yeah, the Bob Pease resemblance is interesting.

                          • HI everyone.

                            Wow.

This is only my second trip onto the internet since the big blow up. I posted a little a few days ago on a small forum tubeswell mentioned, but I haven't the energy to do a lot.

I sincerely appreciate the well-wishing from you all. I have missed this forum a lot, it is always an interesting mental exercise for me, and it is great to hear that the effort has been of benefit. I enjoy hearing that.

APparently they no longer stock parts for models from the 1940s such as myself. So we just have to patch up the old one. Reforming my caps with an oxygen tank.

I know it was selfish of me to take time off, but them's the breaks.

I won;t dwell on it, but it started with failing energy, loss of mental focus, weakness. After laying on the couch for several days, not sure what day it was and having eaten nothing, the wife hauled me to the hospital. In a word, well three words, congestive heart failure. For anyone who knows what the numbers mean, my blood oxygen was down to 50.

So I was in the cardiac ward for over a week, they fed me oxygen and made me pee a lot, and filled me with pills. After a couple days I felt a lot better mentally, and could flirt with the nurses. I already had a relation with my cardiac doctor, and he's great, I really like him. It is scary when they come by and ask questions like "do you know where you are?" And while I did know, I couldn;t make a sentence to answer them. Lost 60 pounds in there. REduced salt, reduced fluids, selected meals from the severly limited cardiac menu.

So now I am out, I have an oxygen machine at home, but at this point I mostly only use it while sleeping. Got a roll around scuba tank for when I leave the house, but I largely have not needed to use it the last week or so.

And I find i can no longer dine at Applebees - nothing on their menu seems to have less than 2400mg of sodium. My favorite, the quesadilla burger has like 3600mg. Amazing how much salt there is in food when you have to pay attention to it.

And I had no idea the ski-jumping sumo was a mystery. Just a note, he has to pay for two seats on the ski lift.

And Lowell, Bob, and anyone I missed who also was caught up in the medical system, my best wishes to you, I know it is tough.

                            Thanks, guys.
