Increasing Trem Intensity

At the intensity pot.....
I am thinking the 470k is a voltage divider with the 1M Intensity pot. In theory, If I increase the value of the resistor, or decrease the value of the pot, will that increase the effectiveness of the intensity pot.
I would like the intensity to be greater than it is now, at any given point in its sweep.

I would think it is the other way around.
With the wiper at the top of the pot you have a .6 something divider.
If you reduce the 470K to 10K you have a .9 something divider.
I do not have a clue "why" the ampeg designers picked those values.
But they did.
So change it & see what happens.

I was just wondering if I had my Voltage Divider Math right.
Obviously I don't.

The depth pot is a voltage divider that attenuates the trem wiggle voltage. You can increase the swing (to a point) by making the resistance on the leg of the divider bigger and the resistance above the knee of the divider smaller. (This is in effect what you do when you crank the depth pot, but you can enhance the depth pot further by reducing the resistance/voltage drop above the knee (i.e.: by decreasing any series resistance at teh depth pot's input.

Another thing you can do (if its bias-vary trem), is bias the output tubes cooler.

Or you can increase the HT voltage for the trem oscillator (but this may also necessitate playing around with the RC network to get the speed range 'right'

Another thing you can do is buffer the trem oscillator output with a low-impedance buffer stage (like a CF stage, or a FET source follower stage) if it hasn't got one already. This cuts down the 'lossiness' of the circuitry between the LFO and whatever else its driving.

I do not know what you would call this type of trem. The Intensity pot hits the power tube grids via a pair of 270K mix resistors. You would have to look at the schematic in my first post and tell me what is happening there exactly.
At any rate.....I will proceed with a resistor value change.
