Yes, your surround will work. If I glue the angled inner part, to the first downward angle, of the original cones surround. I guess upside down from the intended orientation. The total diameter is exactly like the original cones. I'll email this thread to some speaker shops locally to see if they can supply me with one. Thanks

Oh well, so far nobody has any cloth surrounds to sell, just cone/surround assemblies. Never heard back from Great Plains Audio, and I send two emails???

Mr. Fahey in Argentina, how much trouble would be for you to send one of yours? Do you have an e-commerce site? If it's too much trouble, I'll just try something else like the cone/surround assembly.

I just work in small scale and have no ECommerce set up, besides being here just to learn and chat with peers, with no commercial purposes whatsoever, but if you need one, maybe we can arrange something.
Let me ask at the Mail Office.
I'm needing a few 800Mb blank CDs, all I get here ar the regular 700mB ones, and some ISO images are *just* over that, I guess on purpose.
If you could get, say, 4 or 5 of them for me I would consider it a fair trade, no monies involved.
        Good luck.

Have you used them before? They require "Overburn" software. They are not that popular either....

            No, never.
Don't worry, maybe I can think about something light and small I might need.

After a year...I've found two surrounds that will work. Although I been thinking that they are not worthy of the task. They seem much tighter than the original paper edge was. I wish I could find a surround like they use on newer JBL/Altec 12" cones. These seem to use a poly fabric that is melted into shape. I've seen very thin silk looking ones on some speakers, but haven't seen just the surrounds anywhere. I may try to find cones with a nice surround and cut it off??
