Thanks for your corrections and advice everyone! I do appreciate your patience. The little that I know about the internals of amplifiers I have learned in the past 3 months so I have much to learn about advanced electronics. I plugged in tonight and the amp performs as it should. What I like most about it is that it has a unique voice. It's not a Twin but it can sound very twinny and bright through the effects channel. The magic is in the new straight channel which is good for anything from blues to stoner rock/metal. It's clipped distorted sound is a bit too much for my needs but even when it's dimed it is articulate and musical sounding. I've had a lot of nice amps over the years to compare it with. Orange Rocker 30, JCM 800, Ampeg V4G, Ac30s and I'm home with this old gal!
