  • Sturdiest 6550?

I'm not concerned about great tone, just a sturdy long lasting 6550 that is current production. Any thoughts?

I don't have 6550s, but for the price how about these.

for $50 a pair don't see how you could go wrong.
If you buy $99 worth shipping is free, so you might want 2 sets.
    Good Luck,

I've had nothing but good luck with the Reflektor-made Sovtek 6550WE and 6550EH. Every once in awhile I see a turkey, but for the most part, they just seem to wear out after long use rather than catastophic failure. Because they are made in the same factory, I am going to guess that the TungSol reissues will work equally well.
