Glad you got it working. Not sure what you mean by "C4" in the power amp. I'm assuming you're working on a pre-2005 WT-800 with the old power amp modules (with only four power transistors). My PM400 schematic doesn't denote the parts other than by value IIRC. What value is C4 and what is it connected to?

BTW, any chance you've tested the output power? I'm curious to know if it meets the 400 W RMS x 2 into 4 ohm/800 W RMS bridged into 8 ohm rating with both channels working. Given the size of the transformer in my WT-500 (only 500 VA), I have a feeling that these amps are incapable of producing their rated power continuously.

Apologies - the cap is marked on the PCB but not on the schematic. Referring to page 11 of the schematic at the beginning of this thread, C4 is the 22uf/50v cap located between the 39k and 1k divider (just to the left of the bias notes).

I've only tested the output voltage swing with no load, which suggests a theoretical 400w RMS x 2 into 4 Ohm, but this assumes that the current can be supplied, and I also doubt that this is the case. The rating seems very ambitious to me. The bridged output is also marked up on the back of the amp as 1200w into 8 Ohms........

The amp is now back with its owner so is no longer available for further readings.
