head problems

My 62 bandmaster head went out the other day...I think. I was playing it and all of the sudden the sound went out. I checked the speakers and they work fine. One other thing when I put it in stand by it works...? Any suggestions?

I would say theres a good chance that standby switch is bad unless it got turned around somehow. Has it ever been recapped ? That is one of my favorite sounding amps. They seem to have more of a bell tone and clean sustain IMO.

It hasn't been recapped, that was my biggest fear. Its 100 percent stock.

Neither. Sounds like a bad standby switch.

...well it works in standby at first than it kind of rolls off. I'll check the switch and see if its working right
