Fender 5F6a oscillating and motorboating

The 4.7K is supposed to be there, it's not the problem. Late 56As, all RI's & 6G12A Concerts have this presence arrangement & they all work fine.

Check the presence pot's connection to ground is good, including the 0.1uf cap & the new 4.7K when you fit it.

I checked the ground connections on the cap and put in a 4.7K and it works. The owner brought me a nos !2AY7, perhaps that was the only problem all along. Pete pointed that out earlier. Unfortunately I only had one EH 12AY7.
