Anyone know where to find schematics WITH the 5 band EQ? All I have found online at schematicheaven and carvin museum seem to be with out it.
A pic of the PCB would be helpful someone jumpered wires all over this thing.

I am not familiar with the Carvin Museum, so if I sound ignorant, that's why.

Have you CALLED Carvin on the phone and asked for this drawing? They made drawings for the X series amps that covered them all, then when the B versions came out, they did the same thing. X amps drawing for X60B, X100B, and a couple XV models. The only EQ circuit I can find is for the VTR2800, but it might cover you. The way it is filed here, it seems associated with the amp pages.

This link is a 1984 revision of the schematic. It may differ from your amp a little if yours is a later model but as far as I know, from comparing my own X amps,(I have 3 all about 3 years apart),the switching system and EQ didnt change much.

Hope this helps. Its the whole amp with a diagram of one of the five and the table in the bottom corner is your C and R list.

Always reference the pcb revision# on these amps. There's a few revisions out there.....prolly about half a dozen. Its printed on the component side of the main board. Should say "PCB1011C" or similar.

Many folks here know I'm a big supporter of the mid 80s curly logo X-amps. They don't sound so hot stock, but they can be modded to become real screamers. And thier use of active EQ is a big plus....I like a mid control that does what its supposed to. The active tone controls are so good I never have to engage the graphic.
