The Kustom 250 I am working on has 0.51 ohm/5W emitter resistors on the 2N3055 output transistors. I have plenty of 0.47 ohm/5W resistors. Any problem using them as a substitute?

Absolutely. Change them all to .47. No issues there.

The operative word being ALL.
They are there to help the transistors share current, so they need to all be the same.
They are like table legs, you can put new legs on the table a half inch longer than the old ones, but only as long as you change all of them.Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
