This amp turns on and makes sound until I either PLAY through it, or even just plugging a 1/4" cable into the input will make it stop producing sound. It does not turn off, it just stops making sound and starts producing a low volume hum. Then when I turn off the power it produces sound again until the filter caps drain. I've poked all around w/ my chopstick and smacked the chassis and that doesn't reveal any loose components. This is a new symptom to me. Not really sure where to start w/ it.

correction: this only happens after amp has been on for about 5-10 minutes.

Couldn't stop trying to fix this after posting. I began poking at the clip from the PA board and it starting doing its thing. So I thought I better remove that PA heatsink and board and take a look... as it wasn't the clip itself. There was a loose transistor from a not-so-good previous repair. All fixed.
