I believe you have one day to edit/ delete a post.

And in general it is bad form to delete a post when your problem is solved. The point of a forum is to share ideas, and the others might be interested in what your original question was and its solution. Kinda the price we pay to play.

I think the deal is that deleting the first post in a thread trashes the entire thread. So regular users aren't allowed to do it once there are other posts.

I'm also curious to know what the problem was with the SVT and how it got fixed.
