  • Roland Cube 60 No Output

This is a newer model Cube 60. There's no sound from the main speaker, but the Line Out, Tuner Out, and Headphone out all work. I'm still looking for a schematic, the one I have is the older model with preamp in/out. Are there any common problems with these? Power transistors?

So test the speaker, inspect the speaker wiring. Headphones jacks usually cut out the speaker, so look at the phones jack for a cutout contact not closing.
Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.

various cube & blues cube schematics
On the blues cube schematic, there seems to be a fet in to the power amp, presumably as a mute.
If this was permanently "off", you woudl get no sound from the speaker, but the preamp outs would all be ok.
But as Enzo says, check the speaker voice coil resistance, & plug a lead from preamp out socket to power amp in socket, if there is one

The speaker is ok, checked that. Unfortunately it doesn't have a power amp in. They did not make it easy to get to everything in here for sure, no slack in any wires, tight chassis etc.

        Thanks for the schematics!

Unfortunately none are for the amp you have. One is for the older 1970's "Cubes", the other two for the Blues Cube 60, again a different amp.

          Have you tried contacting Roland?

This is the first place I have hit in the search for the schematic of a Roland Cube 60. Newer one like AtomicMassUnit was looking to get... Anyone got it online? THanks!
When the going gets weird... The weird turn pro!
