Okay I am currently trouble shooting a Traynor Reverb Mate 40 or TRM40. I have no schematic and just testing voltage to the IC chips. When you turn on the amp it is a hum that is coming from the board somewhere, 120 hertz. If you turn on the chorus it is like that sound you never want a chorus to make, like a circus sounding as a tape player w/ low batteries. It makes these phase oscillations as the circuit is active, but when you turn chorus off the amp is playable(except for the horrible noise). Anyway, I measured the IC's on the board.

When I say leg 1-3 on the TDA2030A's it is respective of the 3 legs that are grouped together. Also the question marks are measurements that were all over the place, whereas some other readings were jumping all around but in a more consistent reading. IC8 is the one that sits right at the chorus circuit and that explains why it sounds so weird. The IC9 is getting really really hot in comparison to IC10. It appears that there is no plastic spacer between the heat sink and the mounted chip!!! It still has the green stuff on the bolt on it, so maybe they had made that mistake at the factory? So should I definitely put a plastic spacer on that IC9 chip? I think so, but just thought to ask...
So, if anyone can help me a little bit here that would be greatly appreciated. I fixed an amp last night that the 2 op amps were bad and making a similar noise. This is something I would love to learn more about in regards to where to look on the board in regards to voltage drops. A schematic would be nice to have but it might not be out there in the realms of the Net.
