When the amp is first turned on, it plays normally. After a short time, say 5 to 15 minutes, the amp loses volume and sounds thin, then after another short period of maybe 15 to 30 minutes, the volume comes back and everything sounds normal again. The amp got new power tubes, because they were old and mismatched and due for change anyway, but that didn't help. I do have a schematic of the amp and a dmm and oscilloscope. Any suggestions where to start looking? Power supply? Cap gone bad?

How are you using the amp? Are there any peripheral systems that could be the problem? ie: effects units, active pickups in your guitar, etc.?
When the power tubes were replaced, what the bias adjusted or checked at all?
When the problem is occuring, have you noticed any panel controls that affect the amp in an unusual way? ie: does the reverb behave strangely, does the treble control change the volume, etc.?"Take two placebos, works twice as well." Enzo
