  • Filter cap brands/sources

So I'm finally starting to look at my long-standing project to refurbish my SF Bassman, since after sitting in storage for several years and getting shipped 6000 miles, it has let me know in no uncertain terms that it is time. First stop: filter caps, natch'. So I mosies on over to Mouser, start plugging in parameters, and--holy cow, a single 100uf/350v Sprague (TVA-1620) is like $15! They're a tad less at Triode, and only $10 at Antique, but still. So, my learned solder-jockey friends, are there other brands, like Nichicon, Illinois or F&T, that you might recommend as more reasonably priced alternatives, or cheaper sources for the big electrolytics?

And while I have you here, anybody got a rec for a 2T voltage selector for a multi-primary PT?

    TIA,
    Ben

F&T are fine as are Nichicon. The Nich caps aren't really known for use in tube amps, but they've always been one of teh better brands. Panasonic and Nippon are decent too.
