  • Epiphone So Cal 50H PT

Need a replacement PT for this. Epiphone doesn't seem to have ANY number or contact for replacement parts. Anyone got suggestions on where to find one?

    Link a schematic?

If you need to spec a transformer for some amp, look to other similar amps. If an amp uses a pair of EL84 and a couple 12AX7, then maybe a Fender Blues Junior PT would work, for example.

Enzo yeah I agree completely, I however always like to see if there's a drop-in available as drilling the chassis can be a PITA. What's up w/ Epiphone support?? I cannot find a contact #.

Now that you posted the schematic: it won't be that straightforward: 350+350V ; 6.3V@5A ; 12V@2A (plus unused 5V@2A).
Needing same taps same size complicates things a little.

I've got a good serviceable PT for a Crate TV6212 if that'll do the voltages and has the right footprint. IIRC that amp has relays. Plus I'm one state over.

I got Mercury's "dropin" replacement and it's far from dropin. Mounting holes AND wiring do not match the chassis holes. So... I'm SOL. Unless I can find a contact # for Epiphone which is proving to be impossible.

ended up drilling the holes and mounting it. after trying 1 hole it wasn't so bad. easier than I predicted. :-) amp is working now.
