  • Nomad 45 Switching Problems

I have a Mesa Boogie Nomad 45 that is experiencing switching problems. When playing through channel 3 with the solo switch engaged, the solo switch will cut out intermittently. Ran the amp for several minutes with channel 3 and the solo switch engaged with no cutting out. When I walked up and touched the guitar strings, I heard a pop and then the solo switch cut out. Seems like the static electricity generated when I walk on the carpet and touch the guitar is causing the solo switch to cut out. Cleaned all of the jacks (send, return, recording out, footswitch, etc) with contact cleaner and am still getting this problem. Searched this and other forums and have not found anyone who has experienced this problem. I have not been able to recreate this problem using channels 1 and 2 though. I am suspecting the footswitch and am wondering if anyone has any advice on how to fix this.

    Thanks,

    Dan
