Silly question here. Ive always ran my SS bass amps at 2 or 4ohms. What if anything could it hurt running one into a 16ohm cab at full volume for a long performance? Just less output and heat or is the amp gonna get weird?

I had checked it twice but maybe was intermittent. And this is why SS circuits drive me insane.
Think again.

As of one driving 16 ohms, nothing bad will happen, besides the gross loss of volume.Juan Manuel Fahey

Tube circuits absolutely do. But magically and intuitively I can find those within 30 minutes or less. I know them like the back of my hand. This SS stuff is still in the 'mystery and adventure' stage of my experience. Constant second guessinh myself.
I have two Peavey Mark III and they like 2 ohms or 4 very well. My Acoustic 370 as well.
Turns out thru my old 16ohm marshall 412 its keeping up with my ampeg V4 at around noon on the volume. Not shabby. Thanks for your help too btw. Appreciate all of it.
