Keep in mind that this amp used to work correctly (Post #6) so you are looking for something that broke or a part that went bad rather than a design problem. Also, even a large drift in the value of a part would not cause the problem you are experiencing. The fact that the amp did work at one time is a big plus.

Ugh...+1 on that. I wish more people had the ability to quickly mark up a schematic. Another case of a simple diagram being worth 1000 words.

Fixed! Turns out the wire connecting points Z and "XZ" (or just call it the 2 Zs) inside the turret board sandwich was busted under the 3.3meg resistor.

Tried to fish it through but it was really tight, installed a new wire. Testing continuity of the various lettered reference points in the lay out never occurred to me, out of sight out of mind regarding those wires inside the turret board layers , newbie mistake. More of a guitar player than an amp tech although I am glad I didn't give up and this got me to make a little work area in my garage for this kind of work or guitar mods. I will work on getting a proper marked up schematic though I have no clue how. Also will test the bias while I have it apart, another thing to look up.

Want to thank everyone here for the help, you guys are great the way you share your knowledge, good karma on all of you.
