Hundreds of amps? Now that is one busy kitchen. How's a guy gonna eat or do dishes with all those amps in the way?

I think he places his frying pan on top of the output tubes...

Oh, he's probably also an Olympic medalist, first chair violin with the NY Philharmonic, about to patent a cure for cancer, and we hear next in line to be Pope. Then next week....

Well, they used to say "now you're cookin' with gas!", this puts a whole new spin on "now you're cookin' with tubes!" .

We are not so sensible....we just hide it well....

Sensible is boring, every thing we do that is fun, creative, or exciting is not sensible!

That is the new stealth Peizo, real peizo effect but only when in a magnetic field....

Ayiii! Leave it to the Russians to come up with stealth piezos.

To be fair here, if the piezo was recommended as a replacement for a piezo clanker driver, then I'm sure it'll work fine. Myself, I believe those are worthless "piezo shit" drivers best suited for scaring away rodents...

I agree that piezos tend to suck. The problem is when an individual tells the novice that all amps use pieszos, and you can always put a piezo in the amps

If an amp originally has a piezo tweeter I will replace it with one....if it has a decent horn driver I will replace it with the same driver.....I won't replace it with a cheap knock-off piezo....I have not run into anybody yet who wanted a peizo tweeter installed in a cabinet or amp that uses a decent horn driver...

Piezo transducers are not directly interchangeable with dynamic drivers. The piezo presents a capacitive load to the amp, with lower z as the frequency rises, just the opposite of a dynamic driver. Cabinets with intended for dynamics use a multi-pole filter designed around the 8 ohm nominal Z. The filter(cross-over) should be bypassed and a series resistor installed to mount a piezo driver.. Moving the opposity direction, installing a dynamic driver in a system intended for piezo drivers, a cross-over will be required to be added.

Thanks for that tip km6xz.....see I learned something new again....and with no insults....but just to say, I had no intentions of replacing one for the other.....
