  • Music Man 2475 No Output

    Hey guys,

I'm having some problems with a Music Man 2475. When i first powered it up, one of the power tubes was red-plating. I replaced the bad JE1692 with a 2N6488G and now have 61v on the cathode. All of my other power tube voltages seem correct. My bias current is set at 7mA. All of my IC chips are getting their + and - 16 volts. Everything seems right, but i'm getting no output. When i check the pins of IC-8, you can hear a pop through the speaker, so i'm thinking it's somewhere before that point. Any ideas?

Which model, there are many versions of the schematics.

Have you tried to isolate the preamp and the power amp? I use the wires to the deep switch, one side is the output of the preamp and the other side is the input to the power amp.

      Bill,

Thanks for the tip. It was in the preamp. I missed a bad IC. Thanks!
