Both channel volumes are high, ( loud ) only........can't control volume with either volume pot. Even on "0" it is too loud to play in the house.

All pots are pretty scratchy.

Haven't serviced the amp yet and the mice have been living inside for a long time. I will test tubes, sockets, and clean all pots.

Clean the pots and check the ground connections.

Good call on grounding I sometimes forget that.

Just finished the service..............sounds good even with the old tubes and what looks to be all original parts.

I will add a grounded cord but keep the original with amp.
