  • Anyone know a source for Alpha 16mm Dual Gang pots? Through hole version

1 Meg version. Specifically for the gain control on Orange Thunderverbs. None of the usual suspects seem to carry them. Anyone know a source?

Mouser has them. Pretty easy to find too.

You may need to cut off the shaft with a Dremel or some such. Just to make the "in stock" part work. But BFD.

    Good luck

Except none of those are dual gang pin connection. One is dual gang solder lug which doesn't really help.

So, anyone know where to find them?

Huh.?. Your right. I didn't read the descriptions and took the "with switch" diagram for a dual pot. Mouser only has 12mm and 24mm in a dual 1M audio.

Is the pot you need the kind with a wafer on each side of the pot body or the kind with two complete pot bodies stuck together?

Wafer on each side. I opened it up to try to repair it, but the problem is the wiper on the side that is closest to the shaft. That wafer doesn't separate from the contacts, so there really isn't a good way to try to get to it and bend it back so it is making good contact.
