  • Scratcy vol pot

    Hey guys.

I have an old blackface deluxe reverb, the vol pot was noisy, so i´ve changed it to a new good one, but still scrates when turned.

    Any suggestions?

    Rock,
Scratchy "known-good" pots are often caused by DC voltage.
Check for DC... If found, check the 3 upstream coupling caps in the tone stack for leakage....Any significant DC can cause your problem.
    Hope this helps.

        Pretty much - any.

See Fig4-4 P 57 of the attachment for how to test for leaking coupling caps
