  • Replacement fan for Marshjall 9200

Customer says the generic fan I put in 3 years ago is making too much noise. He wants the official expensive Marshall fan now. from posts I see on the internet, those fans are kind of noisy anyway. Wouldn't want to disappoint the guy. anybody know anything like where to get a fan, or if these fans are normally noisy? I don't have the amp in front of me and I can't find the old parts order. Thanks!

Most fans are quiet if they aren't bolted directly to the chassis. It's often possible to do some kind of shock mount. When clearances are tight you may need to file some meat off the fan or make an adapter plate and use a smaller diameter fan with the same CFM.

I mounted a computer fan in an amp, worked like a charm, very silent.
