  • Laney GH100L issue

    Hello all,
I have a Laney GH100L that has been giving me fits. It has new tubes, and has had this issue since before I changed the tubes. When i am playing, it will sometimes start to crackle, volume will lower or get scratchy and if I smack it on top, it will start to work again. I have changed cables ect but no change. It only does it every once in a while. Today I had my effects plugged into the FX loop, and my guitar plugged into the Hi input, and it did it again. This time it did not get that crackle/scratch sound, but the volume lowered and I lost all mid-high range. It sounded very bassy, like only the lows were passing through. Once again, I smacked it and it started working perfect again.
    Any ideas?

Sounds like a faulty solder joint, or maybe bad send / return or power amp in / pre amp out sockets
Read the post http://music-electronics-forum.com/t28549/ for more info.
Here is the schematic to help with following the signal through the amp
