  • Picture of Laney AOR50 Switching pot?

I'm trying to resolve a high current drain on the supply resistor to the preamp switching portion of a AOR50 head. The supply dropping resistor (5 watt) was cooking the board underneath it, so I put in a new one and have noticed that down from that a 1k 1/2 watter was cooking also. This is the one that goes to the IN4007 diode and then to the pull switch for the preamp. I replaced the Fet chip H11f1 thinking it was bad also, but I still get a big voltage drop over that 1k resistor. It measures 30 volts on the supply side and 1.3v on the other side of it. Compared to the other switching chip next door, the dropper for that one (also 1k), measures 30v to 29v. So something is pulling a bunch of current on the one. It looks like the pull switch had been rewired, and I'd like to see what it's supposed to look like.
    Thanks

Can't help here. Last AOR I had thru here got gutted and completely redesigned/rebuilt. The AOR amps are truly crap-tastic....
