  • Selmer Treble and bass Zodiak 100 tremelo hot tube socket

The gentleman working on my Selmer found a bad diode and replaced it. Now one EL34 tube socket is hot and tube glows brighter than the rest. He's tested the tubes and all check out fine. He now needs voltage specs to proceed further. Amp had originally powered up but was blowing main fuse. Does anyone know where ican obtain these specs that he needs?

If one tube is 'hot' have him check the screen resistor of that socket for open circuit.
    EL34 voltages are pretty 'standard'.

Open circuit screen resistor will make the tube go cold, not overheat.

A bad bias feed resistor, coupling cap, or even an old worn-out tube with excessive grid current, would make a pair of tubes overheat.

So, that leaves the socket contacts and the 4.7k grid stopper resistors, check these for dirt, bad solder joints and drifted values.
"Enzo, I see that you replied parasitic oscillations. Is that a hypothesis? Or is that your amazing metal band I should check out?"
