  • Kasino 8 channel powered mixer

Hi there...Been away for awhile getting over an illness that had set me back for a bit...Getting much better now...Quick question. Does anybody know where I can get schematics for this Kasino mixer?? Tried to do searches on google but nothing came up...any help would be greatly appreciated...thanking everybody in advance for their time....
    Cheers,

P.S......things that used to bother me and upset me before don't seem important to me anymore.....ain't it funny how your perspective on life changes when something really serious happens to you??? And you actually live to look back on it all...

Well we do have a schematic request section of the forum, you might post this there. You might also look through the links there for Kustom and Kasino.

But for schematics, we are going to want your board numbers anyway. All Kustom amp boards have a number like PC5033 or PC108 or whatever. That is how we have them cataloged. Look on the underside of the board.

And if you enter PC5033 or whatever the number is in the little search box upper right, it will return threads that contain it.

Pretty sure I looked back then, but I'll look again. If no one has them, no one has them.

What's wrong with the unit? Is is something that can be fixed without the schematic?

Try putting in a request at the Vintage Kustom site, there may be someone there that can find the schematics for you.

A very good point. Those old Kustoms were pretty basic stuff. Each channel board is probably cookie cutter the same. If you have one working channel there's your schematic. That leaves the power supply and the power amp. The power amp is probably the same as other amplifiers and very basic.

Thanks for your help guys.....The reverb is dead....tank and cables ok. I'll have to trace the circuit out by hand and see what I come up with....Once again, thanks for replying back.....

You can reduce the amount of tracing by figuring out which side of the circuit is not working, send or return.

If you shake the tank with the amp on do you hear the springs rattle through the system? If you do, then you know that the return circuit is working and you need to look at the drive section. If you don't then you'll need to start by repairing the return circuit.

I was able to get the Kasino mixer reverb fixed up...There was an ic chip that was bad....I had to trace where the reverb signal left the channel strip and entered the reverb/master volume board. then I had to trace the copper traces around the board and scope various points in the circuit.....It was a LM1458 chip that was bad....replaced it and everything worked fine...
