I'm replacing a bunch of capacitors in an old Premier amp from the 50's and found this one inside...its not a capacitor I'm familiar and I'm not really sure where to find a replacement for it. It is a large value but does not appear to be polarized...

Unfamiliar capacitor in Premier amp

It appears to be an old style electro, but I have never seen them without a pole marking,i.e. +/-.Where in the circuit is it?That could shed some light.Do the ends appear to be different from each other?Like one end,the neg or ground of an electro looking like it is connecdted to the "can".If you pull the cardboard tube off, there should be a "can" inside.

This amp is a mess of wiring and I don't have a proper schematic for it...unfortunately it is a complicated circuit and I don't have the patience to trace it. there are portions wired on small turret boards. Its a real PITA ... I am finding this to be the case with some of the old Premiers

I've seen a cap like that between cathodes in one of the Premier vibrato setups. If one of the grids goes to the vibrato pot, thats what it is. In that case, the value isn't critical and I think a regular electrolytic will do. But I've only seen in it in amps with 7N7 tubes. So its best to make a schematic of just that section of the circuit to make sure.
