Mesa 5 50 low volume

Folks, a question. I've got a Mesa 5 50 in for service with very low volume. I've checked the tubes on my Hickok and have looked the amp over for burned stuff-didn't see any. Voltages look ok. There were a couple of weak tubes but nothing that would kill the volume. I have not yet tried jumping the effects or connecting stuff up to the send and return jack to see where in the circuit the problem lies.

Any good ideas? I'm trying to get my hands on a schematic but in the meantime any and all suggestions gratefully accepted and explored. I haven't really gritted my teeth and dug deeply on this one but that seems as if it is Monday's project.

Best idea is the one you already mentioned, FX loop switching jacks. After that, maybe muting Fet's.

Thank you. I truly appreciate the schematic-product information on later Mesa amps is sometimes difficult to come by unless you have a friend in the trade. It's going to be my morning's project.
