Do these amps run hot to the touch on the chassis? Just put in new PT, diodes and JJs el-84s.The Ruby 84s made it stinking hot.Thanks pb

What is the current of the tubes ? How did you bias it ? The negative grid voltage should be @ -14vdc. If the bias is to hot it can cause the chassis to run hot. The transformers in that amp don't have a lot to spare but run somewhat normal temperature wise when running right.
