  • Source for a 4PDT?

I need a couple 4PDT minitoggles (ON-ON), the type used for coil taps etc. The C&K 7400 series is exactly what I'm after, BUT...I can't find anyone who sells them in black. The C&K catalog indicates that they *make* black (the DPDTs are everywhere in black), but no joy in finding them.

    Anyone have any ideas? TIA!

Heres one from Mouser Electronics http://www.mouser.com/search/refine.aspx?Ntt=10TC290 - part number: 10TC290 ($4.94 each in quantities 1-10). I had been using a 3PDT version of this switch (on-off-on, not on-on which the above one is), to power my motor controllers, but need to research a RoHS compliant version. I note this, in case you live in the EU.

Welborne Labs (http://www.welbornelabs.com/) used to sell them, but a quick look at their site didn't turn them up.

    Cheers,
    Thom

Thanks, but as far as I can tell that one's not black. The black ones appear to be DP and SP only.

The "black" part confused me. Do you mean the color of the toggle (lever)?

If that's the case, then part number 10TB002 is a black toggle switch cover. It'll set ya back an extra $0.17.

        Cheers,

I meant the toggle and the bushing. C&K, and I imagine most other major makers, build them in nickel/chrome, black, gold, etc. My application here is a coil cut switch on a guitar with black hardware; the pickups are EMG 89s, each of which requires two poles to switch.

Black anodized finish on the bushing would be a specialty item. They will make them up for an OEM, but I would find it surprizing to find them on the shelf other than in a guitar parts setting.
