  • 75 Bassman Ten normal channel bass control not working.

I have a Bassman Ten with no response from normal channel bass pot. Pot tests ok through it's range, all tone stack caps replaced with no change at all. I've re flowed all solder connections in the entire pre amp, Volume and treble controls function normally.

Do you have lots of bass or virtually none? Have you checked the "slope" resistor (100K in most Fender amps).
WARNING! Musical Instrument amplifiers contain lethal voltages and can retain them even when unplugged. Refer service to qualified personnel.
REMEMBER: Everybody knows that smokin' ain't allowed in school !

This one doesn't have the classic fender preamp. I changed out the pot and all is fine. Don't really understand, though. I tested the pot and it seemed fine.

It is fixed so it no longer matters, but if the pot tested OK as a pot, check to see if any of the legs are shorted to its frame?
