Mercury does make some nice trannys. Ive used several, and they are great.
But I see both are wound in USA, so I approve either.
If you want to bring jobs back to Americans, stop buying Chinese products, it's as simple as that.

I've ordered from Edcor, they make a quality product and are willing to make special versions to order. They do not stock any transformers and build to order, so it will take extra time to get the part. If time is a factor then you may need to go with an alternative source.
