The tweeter has very low output. The customer says he replaced the diaphragm. Originally he says it was dead, no sound. No it's low output. I tried another tweeter here and it sounds great. So a bit confused as to what to do here. My thoughts are to replace the whole driver. I think maybe the magnet gap could have some debris in there or something. any thoughts on this?

Inspect the customers' work and pull the new diaphragm. It may be seated wrong, or it may be the wrong one or it may be damaged.

Yeah my thoughts too. Being lazy. :-) I'll do it and stop it. Bad tech, bad tech. (slaps back of hand)

If it is one of those 'screw down' replacable diaphragms, there is always a little slop in the holes.
        Misalignment is easy to do.
I run a signal through the tweeter from my sig gen.
You can tell when the tweeter is not centered, as well as when it is.
When it's correct, the tone is nice & clear.
