  • Vendor for Eyelet Fiberboard Needed - Mine is out of stock

Doing a vintage clone build that requires a filter cap board (for 6 large caps, not 5) that no one (I've found) stocks so I need the materials to build one.

Does anyone have a source for the eyelet type fiberboard? MojoTony is out of stock, haven't seen it on fleabay either.

Except fiberboard.... try WeberVST and see if they will sell you some blank board stock.

Is Garolite G-9 identical to vulcanized fiberboard?

Oh, you wanted that stuff that old Fender's used.... here it is McMaster-Carr

They don't list .060", but you could just use two .030" pieces sandwiched. The fiberglass board(G-9) is much better, electrically and physically, and it's what I'd use for a custom build. Fender went with the cheapest stuff to cut costs.

I also prefer the G-9 Garolite to the fiberboard. You can order a 4-ft x 3-in. section shipped for about what you would pay for one fiberboard and have plenty left over for whatever you like. More reading here in this old thread.
