          I have seen these output boards burn many times.
          The tracks can burn right off the board.
          The heaters do arc to the plate and screen tracks. Depends on humidity, a lot of times.
          My point was, that once carbon forms, it can keep burning. On the connector or on the board.

          Yes, those things an happen. And drunk drivers can run into school busses, and sink holes can open up beneath your house and swallow you up. But none of those things are what is happening to this poster. He has a connector burnt up from heater current. he does not have arcs anywhere, he does not have to pull the board out because that is not his issue. Carbon on the circuit board is indeed just asking the high voltage to arc, and would be a concern if he had that, which he does not, but in that connector, all it does it act like a resistor. The connector is destroyed already, there is no leaving it there.
          Education is what you're left with after you have forgotten what you have learned.
