  • Peavey Mace VT Power Tubes?

Figured I would go ahead and replace the tubes in my new found Mace VT. Right now I have some older looking coke bottle shaped ones in there, no identifying marks except for "China" stamped on the envelope. Not even sure what these are. I would welcome your recommendations for a replacement set.
    Thanks!
    Mike

    Hi
Did you purchase them from ebay? If you ordered them as say 6L6's and they fit try them and check the biasing. It's important the biasing is checked. If they bias ok and sound good, i wouldn't worry. I also order from firms i can trust and known makes too. Does not say where you are living, but if in uk use hot roxs or watford valves

I use Electro harmonixs or JJ's the price is good, but HARMA or SYLVANIA are good too

Im a bassist and to be fair dont notice any change in tone from valve to valve. so i use the cheapest Electro Harmonixs or JJ's.. Whats your thoughts on that statement ?
