Soldano Cuts out

I have a Soldano Hot Rod 100 Plus and lately it just cuts out completely while playing (no signal), usually if I flip the Standby off and back on again it will work again, but then it cuts out again. This is embarrassing and a general bummer, can anyone help or make any suggestions? Is it running too hot, can a fan help?

it could be one or more of a lot of different things....try the easy stuff first. you have effects loop jacks....try plugging/removing/reinserting a guitar cable plug several times into each jack. there are switching contacts on the jacks that can get dusty/dirty and cause intermittent signal loss, especially if they aren't being used regularly. you can simulate clean effects loop jack contacts by plugging a guitar cable from the send to the return and leaving it there.

If you know how to safely discharge filter capacitors, you can also open it up and check for suspect solder joints.
