  • What is your favorite flush cutter?

I've used Klein and Hakko. Both are decent but slightly flawed. The Kleins at least last long enough to get dull, the Hakko doesn't stay aligned very long.

I'm looking for one that cuts cleanly and lasts forever. Whadya got?

I have had some fancy Erem cutters, but really over the years, these little Xcelites have been a favorite.

They are flush cutters, and the angle lets me get right up next to an IC body to nip off legs. Just don;t go cutting piano wire or guitar strings with them, they are not made for that. Piano wire and string wire are tough and will ruin many cutters. I reserve cheap cutters or heavy ones for that.

I don't recall what these are called but they are great for getting parts off boards...
