That won't work because their EL34 is like some other tube. Only their 6L6 is like an EL34. Not their EL34...Er... Uh

Daz. I wasn't trying to misrepresent what you were saying. But if the JJ 6L6 is doing what you like about your favorite EL34 that raises an eyebrow. It could be that the WCEL34 is more like a 6L6!?! Dunno. But they should be more different than similar WRT use in guitar amps (used in high fi all differences are greatly minimized by NFB and low distortion circuit design).

Well look at it this way....trying to explain sound with words isn't easy. Half of what i said is probably a bad way to put it and obviously has misrepresented what my ear hears. Maybe a better what to put it is every 34 i have has details in thier tone that i find a lot less desirable than the winged C and the JJ 6l6 not so much. Thats the best i can describe it. And maybe you're right....maybe the C does sound sorta like a 6L6, i dunno. All i know is it pleases my ear similar to the way the C does. Anything else i said you can consider to be a shot in the dark in trying to explain it.
