Question about 50s Fender OT ID

I've got a mid 50's Princeton on the bench and the OT Pri is gone. I was just wondering
if this thing was original or not. I have the feeling that it isn't. What do you think? I'd
feel better about replacing it knowing it wasn't original.

I mean, clearly the SEC leads are doctored.....

The numbers are 71265. The wire isn't cloth at all. The PT in the amp has cloth leads
and is a TRIAD type. No names or any other type on this OT.

Well its toast anyway, so just replace it. Even if it was original and non functional...what difference would that make?

I don't have first hand knowledge, but I think I remember being told a long long time ago that Triad was one of Fender's suppliers in that period. So I guess it's possible that it could be original. Maybe someone else who knows more could give a better answer.

That's correct about the TRIAD. However, it's the PT that is the Triad, the OT is not and that is the one in question.
I misread the post the same way yesterday, then reread it and deleted my response. But I might as well include it anyway, in case someone is searching for Triad info.

Sorry for seeming confusing. Yes, the PT is Triad
and the OT is, apparently, a piece of dead junk.

Compare your transformer with this;

FWIW, if it was the original transformer I would have it rewound to the original spec and keep the integrity of the amp if the rest was original. Here in England a rewind works out the same cost as a replacement.
