I saw this at a surplus place a while ago tho i don't know what they want. But i know i can get it cheap. Is it a decent one for a beginner and if so what should i pay ? I can barter them down to next to nothing i'm sure, but is it even worth bothering? Mind you, i'm not in the market for one even tho i don't have a scope. But i just figured knowing i could get it cheap why not. I mention that to ward off suggestions for another one because i'm not going to bother. I just figured this one is at a place i often go and i could grab it cheap any time i'm there, so i just want to see if it's worth bothering and if so what i should offer.

I have a very similar one (branded JDR), new about $350 (20 years ago), I'd figure approx. $50.00

Thats what i was thinking after looking on ebay. The cheapest one was i think $75 or something like that. So $50 sounds right for this place. I'll make an offer and i'm sure they'll go for ir or get close at worse. Thanks.
