  • VOX AC30/6 TB problems

    Hi!
I've just purchased a VOX ac30 tb amp. It is 20 years old now and I think it's been through a lot. Anyway I didn't get the footswitch and every time I plug into the tremolo/Vibrato channel it starts to sort of sizzle, but you can hear the oscillation of the tremolo in the sizzle. This is very annoying. Does anybody know what causes that? Is it becouse there is no footswitch plugged in? What footswitch should I use? Does it matter at all? And one more question - How can I blend the channels? Which jack goes where?
    Anybody can help me out?
    Thanx in advance!

The Vib/Trem is ON without the footswitch plugged in, so any single button latching type switch will work.

What do you mean by "sizzle"? scratchy type noise?
    Do all three channels work?

That's what I thought too. The vib/trem is ON and there is no button to turn it off. Only footswitch but I have to fetch one. So I'll see it sorted.
Anyway all three channels work perfectly, except with brilliant channel there's a low static noise/sizzle?? Yes sort of scratchy noize but not too agressive, just maybe too loud to be simple humming, and i can hear the tremolo through it! ?? With normal channel it's ok, that's absolutely quiet, and with vib/trem channel it's like with the brilliant channel but pretty harsh. It can be heard even while I'm playing.
      Thanks for answers!
