I don't think this is well known (i havent read it anywhere else), but the stock transformers in Mesa Boogie Studio 22 (and 22+) amps already have multiple primary windings. They are indicated on the schematics for the amps (which you can find easily with google).
I ordered one of these from the USA, expecting to have to fork out $220 for a new power transformer, and when I looked at the schematic it was already the right one! The colours of the wires are written onto the schematic.
Basically all you have to do is rewire the two primary windings so they are in series for 240V instead of parallel for 120V, and either change the pilot lamp for a 240V one or use a series resistor with the existing 120V one (which is what I did and 47K was a good value). And remove the death cap. And ucrew the fuse and swap with a 0.5A one.
If you were really keen you could add a fancy switch and make it selectable voltage.
These are the only Mesa amps that I know of where the standard USA domestic models already have multi voltage primaries.
